The Role

The NDIS has created a great opportunity for people with a disability to take control of their lives. Our Customer Experience team is helping people do just that.

We now have an exciting new opportunity in Mackay for a highly motivated Support Coordinator to add their voice and support to our team's service within the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). This new role will working directly with NDIS Participants, their families and carers, formal and informal networks, other service providers and referring agencies. This role's aim is to support the Participant to connect with and maintain a variety of relationships which will enable them to implement their NDIS Plan and achieve their goals and aspirations through our specialist Case Management model of support.

We have on offer a Permanent Full-time role and are seeking a Support Coordinator who is able to work within a clinically-robust, evidence-based and specialist case management model, underpinned by the following values:

To be successful in the role, you will have:

  • Tertiary degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services or related discipline

  • Highly demonstrable knowledgeable of the NDIS

  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in case management and/ or case conferencing within the disability sector, health or associated human welfare sectors

  • Highly developed adaptable and person-centred communication skills

  • Strong networks with human services organisations (upstream and downstream) within the identified region

  • Ability to travel (if required)

  • Demonstrated intermediate ability to use computer IT systems including MS Office

  • Queensland Provisional Green or above, Driver's Licence

  • Ability to obtain Positive Notice in the legislatively required personal history checks, specifically a Blue and Yellow Card.

  • It is beneficial, but not a requirement for candidates to have knowledge of the NDIS and the NDIA Portal, and experience in the Disability Services industry.

What We Offer:

This position offers a competitive remuneration package within classification level 6 of the Social Community Home Care and Disability Service Industry Award 2010. This includes the opportunity to increase your take-home pay by reducing your tax through salary sacrificing of up to $15,900 per annum, as well as other staff benefits.
