The Role

Our Financial Intermediary Services team at our Wooloowin-based Corporate Office has an exciting new opportunity for a well organised and collaborative Senior Plan Manager to support our team's rapid growth within the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

This new role will work directly with NDIS Participants, their family and carers, formal and informal networks, and the Participant's service suppliers and coordination services to support the Participant to manage the expenditure of their NDIS plan. This will include processing payment of invoices for goods and services in accordance with supplier payment terms and the NDIS guidelines. In addition, this role will lead the development and continuous improvement of MCS Plan Management systems and processes.

In collaboration with the Senior Manager, Financial Intermediary Services, this role will support MCS to effect change and to promote our service as a Provider of Choice within the market-driven environment of the NDIS.

  • Demonstrates adaptable, person-specific communication skills

  • Is agile and able to respond to the growing needs of a new service

  • Is hands-on and engages in transactional processes as well as strategically developing effective service delivery

We wish for candidates who possess a strong and genuine desire to support the empowerment of people living with a disability.

To be successful in the role, you will have:

  • Minimum of 8-10 years in financial administration or a similar position which contributed to the efficient operation of a team and ensured the achievement of business outcomes

  • A tertiary qualification of at least Diploma level in Accounting or other related business discipline, and willingness for ongoing professional development
  • Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of the NDIS in action  

  • Able to travel if required

  • Demonstrated intermediate ability to use computer IT systems including MS Office, ERF and Client Management Systems

  • Queensland Provisional Green or above, Driver's Licence

  • Ability to obtain Positive Notice in the legislatively required personal history checks, specifically a Blue and Yellow Card.

  • It is beneficial, but not a requirement for candidates to have experience in the Disability Services industry
